I need to create a frontend for a REST API back end in Django. It won't be rocket science and I want to keep it as simple and as easy to maintain as possible.

Which JS framework do you recommend for {current_year}? I'm somewhat familiar with React. But since the tool is not set, I could also do Svelte, Vue.JS or something else.

Thank you!

@kaia @ultem svelte, litelement and lithtml are all very lightweight frameworks with all the benefits and drawbacks. Vue is is as heavy as React but at least it's convenient to use and doesn't require you to jump through hoops at every move.

@kaia @ultem svelte and solid try to 'compile away' the framework as much as they can. i've no idea how well they succeed.

"... the website loads in a special browser built into the app, rather than your phone’s default browser. In 2022, privacy researcher Felix Krause found that Meta injects special “keylogging” JavaScript onto the website you’re visiting that allows the company to monitor everything you type and tap on, including passwords. Other apps including TikTok do the same thing."

What the hell?? This is so creepy.
