3 years ago I paid $6.99/month for Disney+, tax included. They offered an annual subscription for $69.99, so I switched to that.
2 years ago it increased to $79.99 plus tax, or $86.39.
Last year it increased to $109.99 plus tax, or $119.34.
This year it increased to $139.99 plus tax, or $151.89.
In the span of 3 years the cost has MORE THAN DOUBLED. Conveniently, they now offer an $7.99/mo plan—with ads. Disney knows they can make more off of you by selling ads.

No, no they are not.
I have ~800 #DVD/Blu-ray discs with digital backups on a #NAS. And I use #PeerTube (admittedly, mostly conference sessions.) I watch #podcasts which are not hosted on #surveillance economy sites. I listen to ad-free #audio streaming constantly.
What I DO NOT watch is CBC's streaming content, which were larded with #advertising, heavy surveillance. #Journalism#bias
Assuming I don’t get even more sick, I do intend on continuing to stream TOTK on Saturday, around 9PM EST! We got to Hyrule’s surface from the skies above, and stopped just after making safe landing!

I’m trying to get back into streaming after years of being unpracticed and mostly just casually interacting with Twitch. I’m trying to build a gentle, calm, queer friendly community on Twitch going forward and I have a no tolerance policy for bigotry in chat. I don’t expect many people to show up on my streams obviously but I’m just wanting to put it out there that it’s intended to be a safe place to just be you :3_pink:
I will post a reply to this post approximately 5 minutes before I start playing, I don’t quite have an intro or anything set up yet but that will come with time! Streams will be fairly impromptu for a while, but I’m aiming on settling into 2 nights a week once I’m comfortable streaming regularly.
