Ernest needs to quickly delegate or this instance will quickly die (kbin.social)

I appreciate that earnest made a post yesterday, or maybe it was the day before, saying that he is not dead and hasn't given up on kbin. It's not on this magazine, so I'm not sure where it was since this seems to be the most appropriate one, but in any case....

Drusas,

Did you even read the post? The point is I don't want to leave. I like kbin, but I can't use it if it doesn't work.

Drusas,

Pointing out actual flaws and asking for change is not pissing and moaning.

Drusas,

Not gay enough.

Drusas,

I said in my post that it needs to be mostly functional, not perfect.

Your example of the little mom and pop shop is perfect, but not in the way you mean it. A mom and pop shop will have to hire help. Ernest needs help.

Drusas,

But that's why he just needs a little bit of extra help. He doesn't have to do it on his own.

Drusas,

You clearly missed the entire gist of this post and thread. So I'm just going to leave it there.

Drusas,

The funniest thing about this is that you are the one pissing and moaning the most in this thread.

Drusas,

I'm not sure why you tagged me because I didn't say that downvotes are private.

Drusas, (edited )

I feel terrible that I feel relief in other people's deaths, but this is Putin's fault. He's the one killing all of these people on both sides.

Drusas,

That's partly a fault of not enough kbin users stepping up to moderate magazines.

Drusas,

What we really need is more people stepping up to moderate.

Drusas,

I'm honestly not sure. I haven't been seeing too much of these problem accounts myself. I moderate m/politics and it hasn't been a problem for us yet. I would suggest making a note of which magazines you are seeing this behavior on, and if it's something that is up your alley, reach out to Ernest to ask for moderation privileges. He's very happy to give them to others who are dedicated.

Drusas,

I'm talking more about admins of specific magazines. I don't know where Ernest stands on instance admins.

Drusas,

Wow, a story about Sony where they're actually doing the right and moral thing. Amazing.

Drusas,

I already hate that everything hides the scroll bar these days. This sounds like an obnoxious change.

US warns of Russian efforts to turn public opinion against Ukraine in upcoming European elections (kyivindependent.com)

Jamie Rubin, the special envoy and coordinator for the U.S. State Department's Global Engagement Center (GEC), did not specify which countries he was particularly concerned about, but said that the primary targets would likely be in Europe.

Drusas,

Sure would be great if mainstream media was paying any damn attention to Ukraine anymore and shared this information with the public.

Drusas,

Let's be real: Lavrov does not believe that. He simply says it.

Drusas,

Which makes it harder for people to keep track of their expenses. Which in turn is why "balancing the checkbook" used to be a regular chore for almost everyone and is now a chore for almost no one.

Drusas, (edited )

If you can get checks, you can get a debit card and vice versa. Each just relies on having a checking account.

Drusas,

Russia: attacks Ukrainian civilians, killing Ukrainians

Ukraine: retaliates by attacking military targets in Russia

Russia: destroys some Ukrainian munitions over Russian civilian populations, killing Russians

Russia: how could Ukraine do this?! Retaliates against Ukraine by killing Ukrainian civilians

Drusas,

"Our attack is a retaliation in response to your retaliation to us killing your civilians."

It is disgusting and despicable that Republicans in my country are holding up aid to Ukraine for no reason other than political grandstanding.

Drusas,

It's not exactly helpful, so go for it, Google.

Drusas,

The forecast delightfully animates in

There is nothing delightful about unnecessary animations on my phone.

How much do you use Kbin for microblogging? (kbin.social)

One of the things I find cool about Kbin is the fact that it's a platform for both thread aggregation and microblogging. How much do you use the latter side of things? Do you make microblog posts, actively browse the microblog tab, view them in your home feed, or rarely touch them?

Drusas,

I'll sometimes boost a post, put that is the extent of my engagement. However, I have never cared for microblogging in general.

Drusas,

It's actually US legislation that says so. I haven't seen any news about NATO adopting that stance yet.
