A free social media platform sells your personalized data to advertisers. Web galleries offer your work for training pattern recognition neural networks. Some free services may require you to pay for the device you need to use them.

Free to play games try to psychologically manipulate those that cannot manage their spending impulses. Free trials give you a taste of the full product and make it hard to drop after it integrates into your habits.

Is this manipulative? Absolutely. Is it illegal? Not at all. Most terms of service obfuscate the details of these practices with vague wording. "Your data will be used to improve our service" can mean many things.

Spent a few days doing offline activities like meeting people, shopping, playing boardgames and other similar stuff.

Getting back to online social activity takes a bit of effort, it seems.

As for the game, I acquired all Arkham Horror 3e expansions and it's a lot more fun :D
