Altough I haven't played it as much as a lot of people, I can draw the conclusion that I quite like .

It's engaging and the various upgrades are not very demanding (as it was with ) with "normal" server settings (I raised the maximum Pals you can have in your base to 20 though, still need to get to that number).

Here's something I think about it:

  • The automation that Pals is a nice addition to the gameplay loop, but I wish I could set some priorities (not "binding" them to a single workplace I mean)
  • I wish to lock what kind of items goes inside chests, so I won't have to fill them with a single item in stacks of 1 to force them to do it like this
  • Although this would change some mechanics as well, I wish Pals would transfer "crafted" items (and "extracted") to chests (like from logging sites or stone pits - something similar to plantations) but I get that most of them would just move items 99.99% of the time
  • Lighting your base is stupidly expensive, if you count how many times your fire-based Pals get stuck somewhere in your base. I feel I shouldn't need to farm electric-type Pals to get their... Ehm, parts, to craft lights
  • Somewhat related, I am yet to get to that point but if I build a fridge that needs electricity, it shouldn't need an ice Pal too. I get that it will be bigger and with more slots but come on
  • I really don't get how building works. Or better, why sometimes Pals can navigate it easily but other times they just get stuck somewhere or can't reach the workstation, especially when there's an easy staircase (made of, well, stairs, or tilted roofs - it doesn't matter)
  • Lovanders at the start of the playthrough (got them because of a raid when I was at level 5 IIRC) made most of my playtime very easy. I liked it :dance_cool_doge:

I think that's all for now, will keep playing it ofc, I don't know if I will "catch them all" but surely I will try, if it keeps being not boring.

Just finished Turnip Boy Robs A Bank, a very good game.

Gave me Enter the Gungeon vibes (albeit a bit easier, lucky for me).

Loved the humor and the translation in my language (Italian) was top notch.

Only negative I can find about it is the final stretch, if you failed that I would've liked a skip dialogue option.

:comfyslep: probably i will never play an mmo again. albion online is the closest to convincing me to do it.

legends of aria did but then they shit the bed.

albion is still around somehow but idk.

bonny,

@icedquinn Albion is really good if you want the thrill of being ganked in yellow/red zones plus if you love grinding and farming

I can vouch for ff xiv though

bonny,

@icedquinn so yes you've got the same tastes as me haha

Then ff xiv is the better choice here: minimal farming, great story, extremely good community

The only real downside is that it has a monthly subscription, but the free trial is really permissive, so much it became a meme

BTW apologies if this reply appear all in one line to you, it's losing the linebreaks in other apps it seems, I'm using Sharkey pwa and it looks normal, can't say the same for Sora or official Mastodon app
