recently we discussed kagi search engine which is paid search engine giving you better results and tooling. as subscriber i was asked is it worth it? which is traditional reddit trope.

trying an experiment, i tried search results for various terms in all of the big-data corpo engines and kagi won every time.

the free account is 300 searches for you to try. however one can exhaust this in a few hours depending on their search skillset and objective.

so, yes it's worth it.

@adamgreenfield why is everyone getting so heated over this? It's definitely going to be the future we're going to live in whether we like it or not. I probably won't buy VR headsets because of the privacy implications (i'm not wearing a god damn glorified smart phone with a camera on my face) but I guarantee 99% of consumers who don't give a shit WILL be buying VR headsets and doing this.

This is just like when people raged how everyone would read the newspaper in public, how people would be on they phones in public, et al. We will live in a gay dystopian cyberpunk world with no augmentations, just escapism.

The troons are in revolt against kagi now for simply including brave search proxy in their result options. The hit is small right now but if you wanted to sign up for what I would unironically describe as a "life changing product" this would be the time to support them.

The owner basically said they weren't making politics part of their product decisions and the usual screeching and breaking of chairs followed.
