I don't even really believe in voting, I'm an anarchist lol, we should be doing loads of other political shit outside our entrenched systems of governance. Half of the time I vote, it's just a spoiled ballot anyway.

I just have to talk about this shit because it's election time. You probably should vote cus it's probably easy for you to do so, most other forms of political action are more work than showing up to a place once every few years to put a mark on a bit of paper (or in my case posting a form at my leisure).

But the other stuff is way more effective at actually affecting change.

It's weird how so many games are just immense time sucks, and then some are incredible things that are happy to be finite and just do the thing well and let you get on with your life.

No One Has To Die is genuinely one of the most important games I've ever played and it lasted like an hour at most. Meanwhile I've played about 400 hours of Skyrim and I fucking hate that game.

Been playing some Neptune's Pride recently (thanks @fen) and I'm surprised to find that the most interesting part of the game is actually sending messages to other players to do diplomacy.

Obviously I'm not going to say here what has been discussed (it's diplomacy, it's a secret!) but it's been really cool doing negotiations with other players.

I would never want to be the admin of an instance that was more than just me and a few people who I knew would never cause more trouble than I already do.

Running a server is a difficult and largely thankless task at anything beyond the micro-scale, and is often expensive too. Shout out to all the good ones keeping this network running for all of our benefit. Fedi literally couldn't exist without them.

Went to a castle today.

One of its main features is a smaller, fake, ruined castle which was constructed as an artwork at the time, cus I guess living in a castle wasn't enough.

You needed the view of another fucked up castle nearby to really get the full experience of being a powerful castle-guy.
