looking at comptia certs. is A+ a waste of time to get? I am pretty sure I know almost all of this course material already. I'd like to get Security+ and Network+ under my belt, and A+ is recommended for Network, but not required. Just trying to figure out if I really need to spend money on A+, or just jump straight to studying for Netw / Sec

I cant say that maybe I will magically get 10 job offers if I picked up the 2nd one; but the stuff I saw was fucking stupid, they promote password requirement math like "if you require a number you and 8 charaters passwords are 36^8 safe", every thing about linux I was taught was at best half right(keyboard shortcuts in red hat); buzzword buzzword buzzwords "whaling is fishing for ceo's"
etc etc.
I was not asked a single question that I feel you couldn't find out in one google sreach(like whats apples hard drive formats, idk I don't use apple, I could find out in 3 seconds if it matters), nothing about installing an os
