Because it literally was, if we were talking about Bitchute. Seriously, nothing but culture war, conspiracy, and other political shit on there. The few non-political stuff were just mirrors from Youtube and possibly not even by the original creator.

@PurpCat @koimoa @PunishedD I've seen worse. I use to lurk block-happy Mastodon instances like lgbt.io or forums like Raddle (basically Reddit for far-leftists) out of pure bile fascination and you will have the exact people that I'm talking about.

I even remember one person complaining about gender dysphoria being removed from the DSM because of the "ableist connotation that having a mental disorder is a bad thing".

@koimoa @PurpCat Odysee was the closest to a viable Youtube alternative only because it had the most non-political content on there. I've seen a lot of people joining not because of deplatforming, but because of YouTube demonetizing random videos.
