Wtf is the reasoning here, just checked and it’s broken for me also.

I’ll be honest, personally I think the nail in the coffin was the Spotify-deal. If Google had been able to prove that it either has no special deals or only with tiny publishers (so it feels more like helping the underdog) then I don’t think they could have claimed that Google is treating anybody unfairly.

The New York Times is suing OpenAI and Microsoft for copyright infringement, claiming the two companies built their AI models by “copying and using millions” of the publication’s articles and now “directly compete” with its content as a result....
Google has now acknowledged the issue and confirmed it’s looking into it.
