Reluctantly, one might add. The leader of the biggest party is a friend of Orban and wished to deny support. However he has sidelined that plans as they would errode his popular support.
The ban is beyond absurd. It’s like telling a city under siege to hide from the trebuchets, because they can’t defend themselves until after the walls are breached.
This is the only war in my life that I fully support. Ukraine needs full support and the consequences of losing are extremely costly to all who hate fascism.
Do we know what this guy is like vs the previous guy competency wise? It sounds from the article like they both lack military experience but are Putin loyalists so I assume ability is not a primary consideration for the position which is good for Ukraine.
I still don’t understand why Polish police didn’t fine and tow the blockers. It’s illegal in Poland to park on or block roads with vehicles. It’s not a serious crime in Polish law, but still police should fine for example for failure to let another vehicle or road user enter the traffic (PLN 300) or stopping or parking on a motorway or expressway in a place other than a designated place (also PLN 300)
Especially when there are rumours about Putin wanting to invade Narva region in Estonia. Will NATO stand with Estonia no matter what, or will NATO start acting for once?
