Well the Abrams is more of a MBT platform anyways. The highly advanced stuff is built on top of basic M1. The design is from the 80s ffs. At best, those abrams have tech from the Iraq war.
I haven't heard anyone caring. The people who would be upset are busy with culture war screeching. I think the Biden admin did something very astute by upending Trump's entire social policy within the last month - it gives a bunch of left leaning groups a win to attribute to him, and it pulled focus from these folks who can't seem to maintain their anger at any one thing for more than a week.
Everyone I know who watches politics from the right is up in arms over the title ix stuff. None of them are paying attention to Congress right now.
We know something is coming now. Some things have probably already arrived. Russia knows that too. However the what is important, if Russia knows what is arriving they can move the correct things out of range and not have them destroyed. By not saying what is arriving Ukraine can wait until something "juicy" is in range and get it by surprise. Either that or Russia will move some valuable things away from the front that the proper system to get them isn't even coming and that means that system can't be used against Ukraine (or it can but Ukraine has better chance to see it coming)
Russia knows all the above of course, but what can they do? (Russia likely knows more than us because of spies, but between compromised spies and not wanting to give away what a spy said may not dare do anything)
For everyones safety, we, and I mean the whole world, should invade russia and split it up like Germany after WW2. It’s probably gonna be a mess either way. Better to rip off the bandaid quickly, than keeping the human meatgrinder going for even longer. I’m really fed up with that russian bullshit.
The only hard part is how to you keep Russia's nukes from ending the world. Those who have access to classified information (and thus cannot talk) are acting like they believe Russia's nukes are in good shape. And there is plenty of public evidence to suggest they might be (that part of their military got a lot of the budget after the soviet breakup)
