Woman comes in to get gas, I ask what grade of gas, she gets mad and says we are the only place that asks, and I tell her its because the system asks. So she said "Oh theres a reason, I bet you just dont know." So I explained that its because the legacy system that the LG reward card works on works smoother and faster if it knows what grade of gas, because if it doesn't know what grade of gas it is, it has to send 4 different possible percentages and stuff to the legacy system and bring it back and compute it together, and since our network and hardware is old it would take a few seconds and since people are impatient they would swipe their other reward card and it would lock up the system because its still trying to call and process the other stuff from the legacy system and that other gas stations dont need to do that because their network and systems are more up to date than ours so it makes the calls back and forth to the legacy system faster. Got replied with "thats bullshit, you dont know what youre talking about." Then goes on a rant about how 5G is killing kids and the government is putting chemicals in the food and water to make people complacent and brain wash them.
