@baraposter @Cosmic @Hoss @Jonaschuzzlewit @nordtrack @s8n yeah a few years ago when the fed was giving out free money to build better interest infrastructure in rural areas we took that money and ran fiber all through the boonies. Crazy concept in government I know but we actually used the money and didn't squander it.

Look at this fiber map by a local electric cooperative. For a sense of scale Laurel and Waynesboro are about 30 miles apart. Anywhere in that yellow you can get gigabit fiber to the home.
