@sjw Note the only renewable side of burning wood is if the people who burn/chop it plant it back after, which should be mandatory.
Also the majority of the carbon capture isn't in the wood itself it's in the mulch it creates over time, because the majority of carbon is actually captured by the micro-biology in the soil itself.

I'll also add that the only way for planting back trees to be also renewable is to have them been grown from seeds and not from cuttings, otherwise the lack of genetic diversity will just end up with various decease that will decimate whole forests and put them in danger of extinction.
