About to play games simply so their soundtracks will have meaning to me.
But how do I know what games have decent soundtracks before I play them.
I can't just listen to the soundtracks to see because they won't have meaning to me yet

@sneeden part of the appeal of a good VG soundtrack is it reminds you of the good times you were having in the game, which enhances it. Associates it with the atmosphere and visuals. It can take a mediocre or a good soundtrack and make it great.
I'm pretty sure this is a universal experience not specific to video games (eg why old people love music from their prime years and nothing else)
@RustyCrab@sneeden there are games that are recognizable by their soundtrack and are a bit built up from there like transistor or laika, but to know if it will be meaningful to you or if you would even like it is beyond me
