@mischievoustomato@icedquinn@tiskaan the thing with KF is that for anything fucktarded that Josh and the site's users do (there's a lot of lore with some of the old posters there and many people from said site post on fedi a lot more these days for a good reason), the people who want the site taken down will manufacture bullshit and operate under a mindset of "no bad tactics, only targets".
Nothing is out of the question to them, from fake suicides, to blaming a suicidal person's death on other shit instead of the people within the community (Chloe Sagal), to saying CP is hosted there, to "IMMINENT THREAT TO HUMAN LIFE".
They've been using all the same tactics that were used against 8chan and the Daily Stormer but turned up to 11, minus the context of a political protest, a retarded user (best known for being the traced base of the "chudjak" meme) shooting up a Wal-Mart, or the owner having a warrant out for his arrest over a questionable trial he fled the USA for.
Actually worse, apparently according to Josh, there are Discords where people are paid to write ISP complaints about the site. There's no hard evidence posted, but given how paranoid such a server would be (and given the Discord behavior I have seen firsthand) I can see why it's not being shared.

AJ talked about people doing this when infowars was on facebook. they did it to the trucker protests--which got proven because someone facial rec'd the "nazi." turned out one of Trudeau's PR team showed up with the only swastika in the protest, and had a cameraman, to make sure they got the shot, even though the window to take that shot was around ten minutes in both cases before the bad person was jettisoned

Someone who is signing up to post edgy shit solely is likely to be on the fed payroll like Hal Turner was, either to entrap users or get the site taken down. I know the boomer who ran pieville.net was, right after being mocked for sperging out about anime some guy signed up for DRC, posted threats towards random Jewish hospitals and whatnot, and even though they were swept up fast the FBI was contacting the owner of it.
Turns out Alex Linder, just like Hal Turner, also had a history of saying the most over the top edgy shit and mostly getting away with it even as people around him got tossed in the slammer, and it's highly believed that Alex Linder was responsible for the fake threat.
Over time though after Josh locked down the site harder and that crowd found different tactics, that tactic faded out. The latest tactic to shut the site down has been to harass Cognet, which has decided to act as the censor of the internet.
This has backfired because now KF users are sending form emails to Cognet about DIY HRT sites, which is leading to their hosts pulling them as well.
@icedquinn@mischievoustomato@tiskaan To add to that, everything going on with KF from the "total retard war" to the fundraiser is exactly what happens when the people responsible for censorship online kept pushing the limit daily.
