@udongle@MercurialBlack there's a few I've liked but most of them I've tried to actually sit down and watch I just stare at the screen like :abyss:
Yes that includes all "the greats" everybody recommends. This one seems good so far so I'll keep watching. I semi recently saw NHK and that was alright.
@NotAWeeb@udongle@MercurialBlack yeah but bad anime has a special sting to it that isn't so pronounced when you sit down to watch a western show (assuming the western show is not immediately shoving gay sex in your face). Usually it manifests as dialogue that sounds like it was written for children with down syndrome.
@NotAWeeb@MercurialBlack@udongle I think that's probably the simplest way to put it. Western shows are generally bad but they're on a smooth gradient from bad to okayish. Anime I've tried to watch has been either pretty good or abysmal with almost no in between.
