Oh?

So i'm on a rolling distribution because of some things I want to use. (Blender, Krita)

But I'm not sure that an LTS system wouldn't be a good idea if my 'only' serious use was for instance writing.

Rereading what I wrote I fear that it sounds as a counter argument.

It's not meant to be.

I just don't follow your reasoning but would like to.

@pragmakist @itsfoss using a LTS distro wouldn't be a problem if my only concern was having updated versions of apps, because i use flatpaks for basically everything. I just wouldn't use them because i want to be using the newest stuff. For example, gnome 45 will be coming out next year, and i want to be using that as soon as i can. I'll also benefit from the linux kernel 6.8 when it comes out, because of the new intel iris xe drivers, so i don't want to wait 5 years or more for it.

@pragmakist @itsfoss i like getting the new stuff and seeing what has improved, and i wouldn't get that in a LTS system. That's basicaly it

@hiyatolol

Yeah, that's fair.

And thank you.
