update on this: there was a large fiber cut between seattle and spokane so we are on a backup circuit so there will be reduced transit and increased latency for a while. sorry friends, out of our hands for now
cause of damage was a truck taking out a pole near the western side of washington state. too bad it wasn't the guy that always cuts the fiber in that area
@Aly no in this case it's a guy who is really mad that there is above ground fiber near his house so he's cut it 3 times now and does it every couple years despite being arrested for it
