the term “bestialist” has been twisted by zetas into meaning taking advantage of an animal for sexual gratification, when the original definition is simply a person that has sexual relations with nonhuman species.
the stigmatization of the word is, in my opinion, directly tied to the problem of love essentialism in the zoo community, as well as to the stigmatization of aromanticism, hypersexuality, and kink.
so, here’s my design proposal for a bestialist pride flag! it’s not a term that applies to me, but it’s one i think deserves to be reclaimed from what zetas have tried to turn it into.
