It took Nile Red months to get his Canadian gun licence so he could borrow a rifle and shoot at some bullet proof wood. It also apparently took him months to find a place in the woods where he was legally allowed to fire a rifle.
Here in Mississippi if I wanted to borrow a gun and shoot it in the woods I could have it accomplished before sundown.
