@EllisDee the only thing stopping you from doing that back then it's nobody had made an app yet

I taught myself TI BASIC on that thing and spent the whole lecture writing a program to do the equation we were learning that day. Then for the problems in class I'd just put in the values for A and B and it'd just spit out the answer. It was great. For the first time ever I actually enjoyed math. Homework only took like a minute too. Could easily be done in the timeframe of class starting until homework was collected if need be.

Even at $20 they still have huge profit margins.

@graf @sjw The new TI-84 Plus is $150, and the current Nspire is just $10 more. I guess the demand just isn't there like it used to be

@Cocoa @graf I got the sync cable so I could have apps.

I had one application where you'd set a 4 digit code then you could wipe all data, punch in the code, hit enter, and all of your ram and disk space would be free. I had another that'd do division and give you the remainder. I also had Frogger and snake on there.
