As much time as they spend complaining about evil corporations or whatever Starbucks has BY FAR the highest proportion of pronoun freaks I have seen in any business.
@Morghur it's an extreme gap at least around here. The general distribution is maybe 0-5% (at most) in other stores and in Starbucks its around 40% with blue hair, pronoun pins or STILL wearing blm gear. The independent coffee shops are not like that for the most part.
@Morghur yeah I don't fuck with Starbucks except on rare occasions. But whenever I do go in due to unusual circumstances, much of the time I end up turning right around and exiting because of some cosmic horror standing at the register
@Morghur beyond all the political stuff, their coffee quality is exceptionally poor and is invariably beaten by any ratty local place with an espresso machine. I've been told this is because they just make all their coffee to the lowest common denominator so that there's zero variance nationwide and everybody just adjusts to how it consistently tastes.
I'm not too much into that since i don't drink coffee and the only times i've asked for something there was for a hot cocoa. And it wasn't great. I can get better results with some milk and cola cao back at home.
But i guess it's on par with the general drop in the quality of services and products that big corps are rolling since quite a few years back. And even more reason to not give them money.
