>CPU running abnormally hot all morning
>task manager shows 0% usage
>wtf is happening
>see I accidentally opened Edge in another workspace
>close it
>CPU usage still at zero but now temperatures back to normal
what in the world is Microsoft doing over there
@RustyCrab I don't use windows much, but the last time I saw something like that I relaunched task manager as administrator and it showed a hidden system process eating like 20% cpu.
@RustyCrab if that's consistent it may actually violate antitrust laws (microsoft giving unfair readings technical readings about their own browser when compared to others)
@binkle it seems like what's happening from hwmonitor is that the CPU USAGE isn't technically up but my clock speed is being artificially pinned higher
@Red_Hat@binkle pinning a CPU with 0% CPU usage is not something you can do via incompetence. I'm not even sure that's possible to do outside of kernel space.
@RustyCrab@binkle@Red_Hat sir do the needful and send google play gift cards for the kernel APIs that expose CPU usage to software and also kindly expose bobs and vegene
