I love the power that #Mastodon gives you. Saw a notification from a user on the @gamingonlinux feed, from let's say...a server run by a group of people I despise.
So, thanks to the tools available, I entirely blocked the server.
@gamingonlinux This is how it should be. Only have your server block another instance in extreme cases, as we already have the individual ability to block instances we don't want to see around.
And it's again why I say embrace the big players on federating, as you can block them entirely if you want to without forcing it on others.
@ThePlant I wish I was given the choice to follow Threads here but the instance is part of the Fedipact. At least the account I would follow from Threads is on Bluesky so I can just use that instead.
