I'm gonna be honest I really can't predict if gpt is going to raise or lower social isolation. One would naturally assume the former but it's really excellent for asking stupid questions about how to get in to new topics and hobbies involving other people.
@RustyCrab chatgpt is just modern day ask jeeves. it's gonna burst like a dotcom bubble, and then a couple more years down the road you would be talking to bots without realizing it
@RustyCrab But does the advice actually help with socializing? I'm sure it could tell you all about managing an underwater basket weaving club, but it might not tell you that no one will show up for it even if you hand out pamphlets at your local supermarket.
