@binkle I theorize that healthy sexual contact with the opposite sex somewhere in the mid-late teens (not necessarily the act of sex, but getting partway there) is important for locking in normal sexuality. men who have never had such a thing are prone to perversion as they age, whether it's fucked up fetishes or sucking dick or whatever
I have a friend who knows a guy from childhood who was a weird asexual type who failed to launch and was kind of eccentric which prevented him from dating. He basically got groomed into being homosexual by society, and the thing is it actually hasn't really "helped" him in anyway ever since he started identifying as a gay man, he's just a weirdo with no sense of purpose in life.
