There Will Be Blood (2007)
Exceedingly strange movie. I've never quite seen anything like it. It comes off like an artsy college kids film with a huge production budget. The bizarre soundtrack also adds a lot to the schizo vibe it's trying to get across in an otherwise mundane setting. Recommended watch.
@eidolon it's literally about a guy going out of his mind. The way the film is shot and scored is pretty unconventional. It works but I don't think it would jive with your average random viewer.
@gray I looked up the box office numbers for it and they were pretty modest. About 70 million worldwide. Definitely not a household name.
It seems to be very well known among critics which doesn't surprise me. It doesn't strike me as the kind of movie that your average american would soyjak over. A little too artsy and cerebral.
