researching anything you have two options:

  1. reddit
  2. forum you've never heard of with 20 members (all of whom are weirdly obsessed with whatever you're looking for)

@RustyCrab I ignore pretty much all links to reddit and go there as an absolute last option, don't really recall ever finding any actually useful information there, even for relatively not complex or rare questions.

@niobleoum what are you researching and where else do you go? I would love alt sources but they're scarce these days for most topics. (exception is for tech, there's other options in that department).

@RustyCrab the more important the truth is, the less likely you'll find it on reddit, but I've encountered several gems on small forms.

@RustyCrab @hazlin I needed help with some old computer equipment, there's a forum called VOGONS that just has incredible people on it, people that understand everything. I had literally like a dozen problems with this MS-DOS machine I built and systematically they solved all of them.
