I hate that every multiplayer game has a meta. I dont wanna have to study and do homework to enjoy my video game. I want to get back from a shitty 10 hour work day and relax with a fun videogame.
But no, if I dont look up the metas and the "best builds" and the "best combos" every time theres an update that changes anything, I can't have fun.
Wanna explore a dungeon in an MMO? Enjoy getting yelled at by people who know every pixel of the map who say you are playing the game wrong and tell you that you need to change your build because your character is made wrong.
Wanna play a fighting game casually and have fun? Good luck getting matched against people with 900 hours in the game who know every exploit possible to make you feel like you can't do anything with no chance of learning what you did wrong or how to avoid that in the future and have every person not help you and just tell you to "deal with it" and "learn the meta".
You dont get to have fun and make your character yours or the play the game your way, you gotta play it the "right way".
I paid 40 fucking dollars for my game let me play it my way and shut the fuck up about it not being the right way.
