@icedquinn@nemo Fecal transplants are used surprisingly often and they are found out to be effective to a lot of stuff. My aunt was leading a medical company research thingie for couple decades on fecal transplants. It is a very effective way to transfer the "good" cooties from one person to another.

@susie@nemo i've been aware of it for a time. Gunderson's plant diet book also makes a couple of scientific references to poop transplants.
this is one of those things that the non-industrial medicine community has already known about for a while. while you have the bullshitteres going "roundup is safe because humans aren't plants lmao :ablobcatgooglytenor:" we already know the microbiome DOES respond to those receptors, and there are some foods and compounds that basically slaughter intestinal flora that should be living there.
the poop transplant stuff basically comes back to symbiotic bacteria
