It tasted exactly like real meat, although only in the sense that it tasted like a frozen meal that I cooked in the oven. It was certainly filling, and I thought it was indistinguishable from meat.

Good job Beyond Meat. This actually, well, tasted beyond meat.

if we keep trying to replicate meat for vegans and always making an inferior product, isn’t that like giving someone addicted to caffeine a sugar pill?

electrolysis - 700$
laser hair removal - 1000$
vaginoplasty - 10-30,000$ (assuming i decide to get it. recovery times are a big deterrent.)
HRT - 100$ (a month, indefinitely)
new clothes - i estimate roughly 1-2,000 for a new wardrobe, obviously not bought all at once.

transition cost: 12,800-33,800$ total, without the vaginoplasty: 2,800-3,800. so that’s like- really fucking doable.

then you just gotta consider car insurance, regular maintenance of said car, the car itself, housing costs, food costs, average amount of gas used to find a decent estimate of that… furniture too. decor. make an allotment for novelties… hm.

a car can be like 100$ if you know who to ask, but i don’t, so i’d probably be hooked into financing one from a used car dealer. i’d guess- about 200-400 a month for insurance and the car itself.

housing could be 700-1,600$, it’s not too hard to find somewhere on the cheap if you look long enough. obviously you need a down payment usually i think.

furniture… now- this really depends, but i’ll just go ahead and say a house full would be like 4,000 including pots and pans and all that junk.

food would be like- judging from current prices, around 400-600$ a month.

living costs for getting started: 6,000.

per month costs: <2,600$.

when i lay it all out, it actually looks pretty doable.
