I hate that every multiplayer game has a meta. I dont wanna have to study and do homework to enjoy my video game. I want to get back from a shitty 10 hour work day and relax with a fun videogame.
But no, if I dont look up the metas and the "best builds" and the "best combos" every time theres an update that changes anything, I can't have fun.
Wanna explore a dungeon in an MMO? Enjoy getting yelled at by people who know every pixel of the map who say you are playing the game wrong and tell you that you need to change your build because your character is made wrong.
Wanna play a fighting game casually and have fun? Good luck getting matched against people with 900 hours in the game who know every exploit possible to make you feel like you can't do anything with no chance of learning what you did wrong or how to avoid that in the future and have every person not help you and just tell you to "deal with it" and "learn the meta".
You dont get to have fun and make your character yours or the play the game your way, you gotta play it the "right way".
I paid 40 fucking dollars for my game let me play it my way and shut the fuck up about it not being the right way.

I sure do love it that they close the trail for the "rail trail expo" where they set up vendors on the trail and remove its entire fucking purpose. Sure love riding my bike on the main roads with selfish morons who forget how to drive and try to run me off the road when they get behind me because theres no bike lane or sidewalk and the side of the road has potholes so large even cars entirely avoid them by going to the other side of the road.

How do I get good at fighting games so quickly? Well I learn the basics through the tutorial, and then I find a character I like, and then I do the campaign, and then I play against a bunch of people and get my ass handed to me, and then I play against the AI and crank it up to the highest difficulty and bash my head into the wall and get mad because everything's so hard, and within a couple of hours I'm holding my own against the AI at max level.

As much as I complain about having to find out obscure issues and fix them on linux, you'd think I hate linux. I love linux and open source stuff because I can fix them. I can modify them, I can change them, I can get them to work. I just have issues with proprietary stuff because if its broke you are screwed until theres an update, or sit there and try fixes and hope that one will work for now until that update comes out.

Went and got a propane tank and helped set up the tables and food for a "family" cookout today that I couldnt even attend because I had to work for 8 hours when it happened and came back from work to not a single piece of food and ended up eating ramen noodles and a bottle of water for dinner and was treated like I was being unreasonable because I was upset about it.
