Yesterday I drove on this "roundabout" for the first time ever. The reason why everything is crazy is because it's 8 lanes or something (of course they're not painted at all) and people ENTERING have right of way.

In France it's really common to give right of way to the person to the right even if they're entering from a smaller road. This is just a particularly egregious example of that.

There's one other, on a highway called the boulevard paripherique, which circles Paris, people entering (supposedly) have right of way - but people don't necessarily give it to you.

This is a real possibility. I can absolutely see how this could set off the New Madrid Fault.

I also read a book in 5th grade about a magnitude 11-12 earthquake happening on that fault line which was really bad. The Delta will get fucked but we might make it alright down here. Most of southeast Louisiana will get flooded by the Mississippi and the golf tho. Our infrastructure will be totally fucked tho but at least that can be rebuilt.

Cities would be SO MUCH BETTER with one simple rule: To live inside city limits, you must carry insurance against criminal mischief.

You can buy insurance from anyone who is able to post a bond big enough to cover the possible claim, but you have to buy it from SOMEONE.

If nobody is willing to sell you insurance, or the price is too high, you don't belong in the city.

I don't buy this at all.

  1. Central banks control who can access cheap credit and who can't

  2. Secret societies groom obedient politicians and control them with blackmail (Epstein)

  3. Governments do whatever they want, no matter what people vote for. Who wants another war in a country no one can pronounce? Nobody, but the power elite do, so it happens.

  4. Media and public education are controlled through some kind of secret power structure. This is evident from the fact that they always agree on what to say.

I think it's fairly obvious that there is a hidden "state" which transcends national governments - the only real question is WHO is at the top of this thing, and there's a lot of evidence that it's the European royal families.

For my day job at routie.io, I implemented an OpenWRT based system that boots a never-modified linux kernel w/ ramfs packaged in an EFI file.

Then it loads the current version off disk, or downloads if need be, signature / hash checks it, and kexec's into it.

Needless to say, seeing a sign with a windows update screen makes me cringe.

Generally speaking, I don't upgrade anything once it's in production. I LOATHE big vulns because they force me to touch things I don't want to touch. And typically after one or two of those, I abandon the software that is causing them.

For me, "upgrade a server" means:

  1. Bring up a new machine
  2. Transfer the services over
  3. Shutdown the old machine

And I am moving services around often enough that most of my servers are only a year or two old.

This is how much I hate running apt-get upgrade.
