Has anyone noticed that we haven’t really heard of a new app in awhile? I feel like the last time I heard about an app on the news or on Reddit(in the past) in a long time. The last big one I heard of was the Threads app....

I don’t get why Android phones have so much ram....

No combined notification+ringer volume control? No non-dismissable notifications? No disabling of the bottom search bar? fair point this is launcher issue What the fuck is that shit?!

Thinking of leaving Lemmy for kbin or mbin to have Mastodon integration. Mastodon is my favorite place in the fediverse and it looks like kbin/mbin will allow me to interact with EVERYTHING under one account rather than have a Lemmy and Mastodon account.

When people used to be more sane and not take drawings seriously, nobody was batting an eye on the fact that NSFW drawings depicting minors existed alongside the whole rest of NSFW stuff. Then like with most wonderful beginnings of fascism, people figured out you could drive a hysteria-laden wedge between “us” and “them”...

While not illegal, basically nothing I would do on Telegram is something I would want associated with my IRL phone number, lol. Of course, Telegram is very much set up to prevent the creation of an account without a phone number, even though they have a desktop client....

Whatsapp’s UI is so outdated. There are mods out there that look 100 times better. Android users are basically carrying Whatsapp. They really should look into improving the experience on Android. I would love to see them implement Material You.

Well, maybe not even everybody here would agree if I said “Burggit needs more users” but I feel like it’s turned into kind of a ghost town. You can see right in the sidebar we’re sitting at 100 users a week. I certainly wish there were more people here. Especially if you hide NSFW, there’s only a few posts a day and...

Any apps to remove tel: value in contacts, or adb shell commands....

First of all the upgrade removed my pinned contacts and apps, so I had to start the game of whack a mole all over again. The default suggested apps and contacts were apps I never used and people I never contact....

My first Android phone was the HTC One M8. I got it because at the time it made my iPhone 5 look like a chump. Bigger screen, unrivaled stereo front speakers, much more internal storage you name it....
