Jaysyn, in Russia threatens to target US spy satellites made by SpaceX
@Jaysyn@kbin.social avatar

Do it. Discover the cost of those actions.

We fucking dare you.

LordR, in Kremlin says the only way to protect Russia is to create a buffer zone with Ukraine

Isn't that basically an admisdion of Russian weakness? We are too weak to defend our people properly, that's why we have to conwuer Ukraine...

Anyways, they will just expand that buffer zone more and more if they are allowed to have one. Hopefully the west will help Ukraine more.

ForestOrca,
@ForestOrca@kbin.social avatar

Putin is needing a safe space.

gravitas_deficiency,

The enemy is weak and powerless compared to our glorious might. The enemy is an existential threat.

It’s just standard Russian doublethink

PhlubbaDubba, in Russia’s Medvedev threatens to nuke US, UK, Germany, Ukraine if Russia loses occupied territories

So literally they’re threatening to lob nukes if people don’t stop not recognizing their attempt to just grab territory from weaker neighbors.

I don’t think Russia wants that precedent in the air with China looking so hungrily at Siberia

KidnappedByKitties, in Speaker Johnson preemptively rejects Ukraine aid bill as it moves forward in Senate

But with good faith bipartisan negotiated border concessions it still disn’t pass, sounds like he’s full of shit and looking for an excuse.

Meanwhile, allied and friendly nations move away from the US, Russia and China are emboldened to move against US interests, and US foreign policy is hobbled for several years…

disrupt relations with historically reliable allies is part of the republican/russian plan

Red_October, in Musk denies Starlink sales to Russia

Well yeah, but we already pretty much knew that, and Musk is just skating by on a technicality. The Starlink terminals were registered in (If I remember right) Dubai, which would be where they were sold. It would be very easy for Musk to sell to someone in Dubai, and that someone then sells to Russia. Whether Musk knew or not, he technically didn’t sell anything to Russia. That doesn’t mean he isn’t complicit in the Russians using Starlink.

We know Musk can absolutely choose to shut down service to a region, and probably to specific terminals. He’s done it before ahead of major Ukrainian offensives because he “didn’t want to be complicit in major acts of war.” The fact that he hasn’t shut down the Russian terminals just further demonstrates his real priorities.

Elon Musk should be treated the same way we would treat anyone who collaborates with an openly hostile foreign power.

PugJesus, in Orbán says Ukraine should be “buffer zone” outside EU and NATO
@PugJesus@kbin.social avatar

"Orban says what his paymaster tells him to."

Poiar, in Russia has recruited as many as 15,000 Nepalis to fight its war. Many returned traumatized. Some never came back. | CNN

I have a real hard time feeling sorry for that woman in the article, who supposedly has lost her husband. He willingly signed up to go kill other peoples’ husbands, wives, sons, and daughters. Dispicable

fluxion, in Moscow confirms Putin interview with Tucker Carlson

One day, hopefully soon, history will remember Tucker for the traitor that he is.

humorlessrepost,

Hopefully. The alternative is that he’s remembered as a founding father of what comes next.

ChicoSuave,

Tucker should have his assets seized and donated to Ukraine.

abort_christian_babies, in Biden urges Congress to pass Senate aid package

US Republicans — “best we can do is treason”

gravitas_deficiency, in Tucker Carlson in Bolshoi theatre in russia

Lmao jesus christ he’s just a comic book villain at this point

FenrirIII, in Tucker Carlson in Bolshoi theatre in russia
@FenrirIII@lemmy.world avatar

Traitor.

PugJesus, in American political commentator Tucker Carlson spotted attending ballet in Moscow — Meduza
@PugJesus@kbin.social avatar

Utterly unsurprising.

FaceDeer, in Russia's Medvedev warns of nuclear response if Ukraine hits missile launch sites
@FaceDeer@kbin.social avatar

This would be nuclear red line number... what, twenty, thirty by now?

There's an old parable about crying wolf that might need to be translated into Russian for this guy.

PugJesus, in Bild: Russia may attempt to attack Europe next winter, European intelligence source says
@PugJesus@kbin.social avatar

On one hand, they can't be that stupid.

On the other hand... as we've seen... they very much can be that stupid...

mihies,

Nah, this is pro Ukraine, pro war industry (and pro Biden?) propaganda. Why would they fight NATO and more importantly with what means when they can barely manage to hold line in Ukraine.

lurch, in Russia warns US and Europe over reports Ukraine may get its seized assets

So that means it’s a good move that bothers russia 👍
