Hidari did some of the most gorgeous female character design in the series for echoes, the shit tier otome game character design of three houses coming right after was in artistic terms a cultural decline on the level of niggers climbing across the ruins of European built bridges with ropes.
@jimmybuffettfanaccount 3H's character design art style doesn't bother me as much as before (though male Byleth still looks like he was drawn with fujo hands) but yeah these are a lot more aesthetically pleasing, even the GBA series were more soulful too.
