let's imagine i'm rich and live in a rich person suburb on a golf course on the far outskirts of the developed area or some shit and the nearest commercial zone with a grocery store is 10 miles away
let's also imagine it's blowy as fuck outside and i'm doing 80 on the interstate into a 40-50mph headwind one way and use an entire gallon of gas, but only half a gallon on the way back
and let's also assume total joe brandon victory for another 4 years and gas prices have been raised to $6 a gallon because fuck you that's why
9 dollars worth of gas
NINE ENTIRE DOLLARS IN THE ABSOLUTE WORST CASE SCENARIO
totally insignificant compared to even a small cart of groceries
realistically it's one or two dollars of gas
if you cannot brain at the bare minimum level of thinking about what groceries you'll need for the next week or two and putting them on a shopping list, you're ngmi and gas prices are the least of your worries
