@orekix@Moon I think so too. “Local” growing is essentially a luxury now that haber-Bosch and high-yield grains exist. I like hydroponics or gardening where it’s possible, but it’s not “sustainable”, as they say.
@lain@orekix almost nobody disputes the payoff of the green revolution and yes localism is a joke but you can't do it the same way we're doing it forever. the problem is the people offering solutions are just like "stop farming lol"
@Moon@lain@orekix harber-bosch is probably related to increases in gasses because its forcing more nitrogen than the planet made available for growing plants. problem is if you don't do this a lot of people are going to starve to death.
