1. You have total free speech, or
2. You are on the path to a hugbox

The latter always supports brand and corporate interests.

The question is how to make free speech a cultural value so that everyone supports it, including big fat corpos.

I gave up on that. The only way to make it work is to make it impossible for opposition to be tenable. The only way to do that is to make sure it is valued. The only way to do that is to make sure that people have it and know what they are missing without it.
