Before 911 they use to serve full meals on planes with a menu to choose from including a desert… it was included in the flight.

Before COVID they use to clean you hotel room and give you fresh towels daily. Now you gotta special request it a day in advance.

They’ll use any excuse to screw us. I wonder what the next common place activity will be stripped from us

Word in windows 95 on a 66mhz 486dx2 with 8mb ram worked just as well as word on windows 11 on an 8 core i9 with 8gb ram.

@Humpleupagus @caekislove @Dwalrus @freepatriot @PereAvaitRaison Hell. I still have an operational copy of word 2007 just in case, and a buried 2000. But the limitations on those really old systems meant someone had to make good software. I wonder if you can virtual box them.

It would be impossible. My own opinion is that computers do evolve in a way. No one is putting 0s and 1s on a disk and turning on the juice anymore. Rather, modern computing depends on pre-existing systems to birth the new technology.
