@waifu Supposedly it's rated Platinum on ProtonDB, but I couldn't get it to run for the life of me. Ended up returning it after nothing worked.

@moi @waifu Ubuntu Focal. That's what caught me off guard... I figured it would Just Work (tm) in basic bitch Linux, but it didn't even half run. Proton, Wine, Lutris, no compatibility layer... it all just crashed or froze up.

@japananon @waifu I just got the game so i thought it was working properly but since earlier i have been crashing non-stop. I actually cracked the game a week ago and it wasn't crashing but the steam version is making me crash lol. I tried with/without steam proton. ill check protondb

@moi @waifu I'm guessing the general instability of Palworld itself does nothing to help matters. It won't always run stable in its own native OS, emulating it is just adding more opportunity for it to shit itself.

which means AMD graphics with recent Mesa is likely the way to go. the versions in ubuntu focal are ancient so no way those are gonna work.
