@bl00d oh and this was caused by me joking that Belarusians are the only ones deserving to be called Balts in Latvian (it's a pun, it also means "white") which was in turn caused by him joking we're not calling Estonians, well, Eests or Ests or Estonians because that was possibly used to refer to a baltic tribe and that was caused by a conversation on how stuff gets latvianised, eg Lao gets latvianised as Laosa through the French version and nobody cares unless it has come through Russian which was the start of the conversation by him posting about an article about researchers working on Latvianising Japanese which actually is somehow connected to it being in the weeb chat
