@deprecated_ii I mainly just want to know if they will improve audio quality with things like games and either torrented music or just ripped stuff from yt. I know they're needed for autistic flacs but I seriously doubt those are even available for what I would typically listen to.
@deprecated_ii yes, I got bose QC earbuds a few years ago as a gift and I thought they were the greatest quality I'd ever heard... and they're certainly not bad, but they are definitely specifically tuned to make music "sound good" and not for accuracy.
With these a lot of things sound much different and borderline intolerable, but I can tell it's not the fault of the headphones. I'm actually not sure what my internal soundcard/setup is. I should look at that to see if it's high or low end because I have zero reference point for what is a good or bad card.
even $20 music players have quite good sound, they use dirt chrap microcontrollers made specifically for music players that can support CD quality sound no problem. but lossy file formats obviously screw that up
@RustyCrab@deprecated_ii too many variables at play

argh
i just use my bt headphones and they sound kino kino
@mischievoustomato@deprecated_ii that was actually the issue is that the ONLY good pair of headphones i have are bluetooth ones and the others are complete trash that sound like tin cans with string.
@RustyCrab@deprecated_ii i have aptxll aupport on my laptop (pipewire) and my headphones, so i have fine latency for myself, it feels as cable headphones. i dont play esports thou
@mischievoustomato@deprecated_ii it has gotten better over the years but it's been inconsistent for me. Anywhere in the range of 35 ms (which is mostly fine) to 100 ms (which is very very not fine)
