was trying to make croutons and I just poured oil into a bowl of diced bread in a bowl that was too fucking small, not thinking that the bread was going to soak up the oil unevenly
You can make them on a sheet pan in the oven or in a pan on the stove… but clearly easier on the sheet pan.
Just toss in bowl with some oregano, black pepper, and a tiny bit of powdered fennel to taste with your olive oil. Then lay them out on a sheet pan and bake.
yeah the problem was that I did not put the bread into a big enough bowl to mix in all of the oil and spices so I poured oil in and all of the bread on top pretty much soaked it up. They're baking now and it's probably not fatal as I mixed them up a bit more on the sheet but I need to think before I fucking do things
