@LittleTom @ArdainianRight @SuperSnekFriend @branman65 It never died, it was mostly people and edgelords passing around videos that ranged from just crazy but not that weird by 2020s standards sex videos (lemonparty, my lazy sundays, meatspin), what the fuck sex videos (2 girls 1 cup) that sometimes were a result of accidents (1 man 1 jar guy normally filmed himself shoving jars up his ass and got unlucky), and infamous murder videos (the Canadian cat abuser who was a gay porn star comes to mind).

There's parallels today, the weird sex videos nowadays are gay thugs and Dreamybull's increasingly bizzare videos of him shoving things up his ass and screaming I'M ABOUT TO CUMMMMMMMMMM, and the really fucked up shock videos are cartel executions, the NZ livestream, and ISIS executions.

Even Twitter in the mid 2010s had the McChicken video, that one fish video, the reporters being shot on air by the coworker, and the one guy who murdered a random dude in Cleveland, and let's not forget LiveLeak and the Chinese industrial accidents along with the aftermentioned cartel/ISIS videos.

There's even more extreme content that gets posted there which is the point: it's utter desensitization.
