so i've been learning about vector databases and have been trying to come up with a "recommendation engine" sort of thing for steam games and it sort of works but not the way that i wanted it to :^)
with the way i set up the vector i have it weighting the release date way too high, i need to change it so that the primary genre takes preference, then the tags, then the secondary genres (and then the release date if I still want) i think
@pasture its just going to give you whatever has the highest cosine similarity. i'm not sure if that will have useful meaning when it comes to a date.
i use these with bert.cpp to be a janky automod. i tried the trick of putting stuff in to annoy for auto clustering too but that seemed to just mark a whole lot of random stuff as related for some reason.
