@tyler ironically I'm great at spotting copypastas but I've never seen the breakfast question before I joined fedi so I have no idea what I'm supposed to answer with
@Cocoa@tyler The breakfast question is a test of hypotheticals. niggers have a hard time of understanding such ideas and normally will answer, "But I did eat breakfast this morning."
@Cocoa@tyler@justnormalkorean it has a vinyl die cast cut himiko toga on the outer shell and a high elf archer on the wrist rest beside the trackpad, thoughts?
@mischievoustomato@Cocoa@tyler@justnormalkorean im going to spend a lot of time away from home this summer hopefully and want to game. unfortunately the m3 pro cant handle a lot of games (chugged even with disco elysium which isn't exactly a demanding game) so its hit and miss.
I bought a razer blade 14 many years ago (GTX 970m) and I had nothing but great things to say about it. gave it to gf to use for school before I bought her a macbook instead since it was lighter to take to classes
@graf@Cocoa@tyler@justnormalkorean@mischievoustomato hmm, that CPU+GPU combo is pretty similar to what you can configure on the Framework 16.
Ever thought about eGPU memes? The GPD G1 is comparable in size to some of the older larger gayman laptop power bricks and it can turn some of the funny handhelds or mini-laptops (e.g. GPD Win Max 2) on the market into pretty respectable setups even over USB4.
@birdulon@Cocoa@tyler@graf@justnormalkorean@mischievoustomato i figure "oh find a old computer from last decade". to do boinc aka some fancy folding at home stuff or look at those weird motherboards you see explaining computers or other people have thats just a laptop cpu on them.
@iceloops@Cocoa@tyler@graf@justnormalkorean@mischievoustomato There's cheap new N100 miniPCs around the place that can even be better than some used markets. Even cheaper N95*/N4000 stuff though it's not that much cheaper for what they actually give.
@birdulon@Cocoa@tyler@graf@justnormalkorean@mischievoustomato i been eyeing 6th gen nucs i seen some i3-i7 us? and some pentium j and ns? depending on make and model you can get some minipc/chrome boxes for 20-50 bucks but issue here is msata and weird m.2 sata storage.
@iceloops@birdulon@Cocoa@tyler@justnormalkorean@mischievoustomato the radxa rock5b has NVMe M.2 on the back side, i've got a 512GB in mine it's been sitting idle on top of my stand up freezer just whirring away. I haven't had time or inspiration to do anything with it
