shibao,

i've finally fucking figured out the correct way to crack an egg into a pan
you literally just crack it on the inside of the pot or skillet you're using, don't use the edge cuz it'll put egg shells into the egg that you're getting out, but then you also won't drip anywhere cause you're already inside the pan
this should be on the outside of every egg carton

@shibao I just use my counter

shibao,

@sjw that's what i thought the "right" way was too but you gotta try inside the pan

@shibao @sjw but ive always got hot bacon fat in the pan im not smashing it in there when all you need is a flat surface which is right next to the pan and kept clean

@shibao makes sense. The harder the surface the easier it is. This is one of the things that makes stone countertops so nice. They crack eggs even better than in the metal pan. However a thin aluminium pan you got at Walmart probably will probably be worse than the counter.

The only reason I don't do it in the pan is because it can be a pain if a piece of shell breaks off. Also I've gotten really good at cracking them on my counter.

However I have been in the market for a new cutting board. I might get a stone cutting board which will be great at cracking eggs. I feel like it'd be hell on my knives tho. I'd think it's the same with glass cutting boards tho and people use those. Maybe I'll just get a rubber cutting board or something. Probably anything is better than plastic.
